Space for Teachers provides authentic, immersive microgravity research opportunities for teachers and students within a supportive network of active researchers, educators, and technologists.
Ten teachers are selected each year in two cohorts of five. They invite applications and general interest from classroom teachers in grades 6-12, particularly those from Title I, rural, or other communities representing populations traditionally underrepresented in STEAM fields.
You should have 5+ years experience teaching STEM/STEAM with strong evidence of including space sciences in your curriculum. Additional requirements include:
demonstrated ability to infuse project-based learning into your classroom
support of district administration to bring new approaches to the classroom
desire/willingness to promote projects with parents, administrators, local media
curriculum development experience
