Join the National Air and Space Museum on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 from 8:00-9:30pm ET for a live, virtual exploration of data visualization. The images from space telescopes are beautiful, but are they what your eye can really see? What information lies hidden in the gorgeous colors? Hear from Dr. Kim Arcand from the Smithsonian's Astrophysical Observatory about her work on visualizing data, learn about how layers of data combine to show space objects, and try your hand at creative data visualization. Leave with interdisciplinary ideas on using data in the classroom
